The white cedar wood we use to build our Chalet square wood planter is the same type of wood used by the Native Americans to build canoes and other outdoor structures.  It ensures durability as it is firmer than red cedar and is naturally rot resistant for outdoor planting.

(Note:  White cedar possesses a lighter hue and is more prone to weather to a pale gray color with prolonged exposure to harsh outdoor conditions).

This planter maintains its distinctive design using posts highlighted by a chamfer design at the top and bottom of each post and decorative handle openings on opposing sides.  Arc support within the bottom framework adds charm that compliments the exterior finish of the premium tung oil for added protection against the outdoors.

Our Chalet wood planters come pre-assembled.  Easy additional assembly is required, and all hardware is included in the package.  Each panel is reinforced with bolts and nuts designed to lock each corner in place.   Optional seat attachment between two planters are also available.

• Built with white cedar interlocking tongue and grooved wall panels which are inserted  into the dado groove line in the frame. All metal fasteners are secured from the inside in order to prevent any potential staining.

• Each panel is framed by 2 x 2 white cedar posts and caps and put together with the traditional mortise and tendon joinery.

• Easy assembly using furniture-grade connection bolts and nuts at each corner of planter.

• Optional seat attachment available.

• Finished with outdoor sealer to protect from outdoor elements.

• Can be stained with half oil/half latex outdoor color stain.
