Commonly used in Japanese garden. A typical "Sukashi-gaki" uses some old time bamboo graft technique. This is a very simple fence formed only with vertical and horizontal arrangement of long-jointed bamboo mounting. The beauty is in its simplicity and refine textures. Yotsume-gaki is the simple pedestrian rail fence with or without a pattern of lattice build in. They are practical as the pedestrian guide fence as well as bringing natural beauty of bamboo to soften the set barrier. In the traditional Japanese garden, Yotsume-gaki usually employed as dividers, partitioning the inner and outer precincts of a tea garden. In many cases small shrubs are planted along the base of the fence or climbing planters are trained to trail along the Yotsume-gaki. All rail fences come in the size of 24" height and 72" long.
